Liminal Spaces: Migration and Women of the Guyanese Diaspora

The South Asian Women’s Creative Collective (SAWCC) and the Jahajee Sisters are pleased to invite you to Liminal Spaces: Migration and Women of the Guyanese Diaspora on Saturday, November 21, 6:30pm – 7:30pm. To register, please click on this link.

We hope you will join us as we explore Liminal Spaces: Migration and Women of the Guyanese Diaspora with author Grace Aneiza Ali, curator of SAWCC’s upcoming exhibition Encounters, in conversation with Maya Mackrandilal, Christie Neptune, and Dominique Hunter. The talk will be moderated by Rashida Abuwala, SAWCC board member.

We welcome donations to support Encounters here. All contributions toward this project will support artist honorariums and related programming.

The talk will be featured at the 2020 Indo-Caribbean Women’s Empowerment Summit, “Building Our Future: Love & Solidarity as the Pathway to Justice,” presented by the Jahajee Sisters. The Summit is a virtual interdisciplinary event that convenes an intergenerational, multi-racial, gender-expansive group of people to envision and mobilize for solutions to gender justice in the Indo-Caribbean community and beyond.
