BEAUTY, SAWCC’s performance art series at the DUMBO Arts Festival, featured 7 incredible performances by SAWCC women and was a hit among festival-goers. Spanning a block near the waterfront, the performances grappled with conceptions of beauty through skin color, gender, hair, body image, clothing, and how media influences self-image. Through these performances, audience members were made to interact with, engage in, and play with questions and ideas surrounding beauty.
